We have just appeared on RTE One's main evening news. Last Monday Philip Bromwell, one of Six One news's Reporters came to Garrettstown Beach and filmed and interviewed us for a 2 minute piece that went out on both the 6pm and 9pm News on Thursday July 17th. The piece should be available on RTE.ie from July 18th. Check out local Girl Ailis Ward as she surfs with Jon!

We are now pleased to announce support from The National Maritime College of Ireland. Located in Cork they are the centre for many forms of specialist maritime Training. They have now become the main financial supporter of our efforts. These funds come from an EU supported initiative "Martins". This project includes similar colleges in the UK, Holland and France and it promotes safety training in various forms. Surf 2 Heal is very grateful to Martins & the NMCI for this fantastic support and you can learn more by visiting :

Surf 2 Heal

Our first weekend of volunteer training has just taken place. We have received a huge response from people from all walks of life who are generously giving up their spare time to join us this journey of adventure, hard work and joy.

Our new fleet of specially designed boards arrived just in time for the training course and the volunteers enjoyed a number of very productive surf training sessions as well team building activities and workshops.

The whole Surf 2 Heal is being documented by an independent film maker, Jarlath Rice. Our volunteers have now begun their journey to make Surf 2 Heal a project with a difference. They will train on an on-going basis between now and the camp at the end of August.

Good luck to them all.
Thanks
Jon
