Land-based Volunteers.
Our camp
will be working on the basis of very low student to leader ratio. This will
require us to have a well-trained group of volunteers both on and off the
water. Land based volunteers will be involved in a wide range of tasks ranging
from group management, assisting with lunch times, problem solving and
accompanying the kids on other activities i.e. Horse riding & other
activities off the water.
Think you have what it takes? Are you?
Our volunteers give their time free of charge, SURF 2 HEAL, is a non profit organisation and as such we can offer alternative methods of reward. This years volunteers will receive:

Surf Instructor Volunteers
Our camp will be working on the basis of very low student to leader ratio. This will require us to have a well-trained group of volunteers both on and off the water. Our crew of Surf Instructors need to be highly skilled surfers and willing to embark on a specialist training program that will further increase their skills and ability to deliver a first class experience to the kids attending SURF 2 HEAL 2008. For the 5 days of the camp our instructors will need to work 2 surf lessons a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon on a 1-2-1 basis with a 5 to 8 year old child.
Over the week we hope that our Instructors will build a rapport in the water with that child and show them the joys and opportunities available through surfing and time in the ocean.
